The Porsche Cayenne has become quite the platform for tuners lately. This particular one from Ruf is pretty sweet looking. I especially like the flecked paint. Probably the biggest improvement is the 911 style headlights. Makes the Cayenne look much more like a sibling that belongs in the Porsche lineup.
The SUV has a host of improvements both inside and out. Power is up to 591 hp and torque up to 656 lb-ft. 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds. Course your mileage plummets to about 10 mpg in the city!
The cost? Just $327,853. Hmmm, maybe this should be our next giveaway car.
$327,853 for that?
If you were giving this one away i would have die and goto heaven, worth every penny.
if one is spending $300K i don’t think one is worried about getting 10mpg.
$325k seems about 2x too steep. And you like that paint? Maybe I just need to see some more pics, but I thought the flecks were the lights at the autoshow – it looks like it just got done being driven from Portland to Bend and back… mass bug carnage.
Yeah, I know, my paint tastes are all over the board from the predictable to “what the heck are you thinking?!”. I JUST realized what it is. Cross made a pen called the Lapis Lazuli as part of their Townsend Collection quite a few years ago. It had a similar color of blue and gold flakes suspended in the finish. Reminds me of the paint on that car. Funny how something from the past can influence you like that.
Ahh yes, I can see the resemblance. That is really pulling one from left field. That pen is going for $240 – $590 on ebay. It must write in liquid gold. I’ve just never liked a pen enough to spend more than $5 on it.

Yeah, I know it was a stretch, but it’s the only thing I could come up with for liking the paint on a car so far everyone has thought is butt ugly. It’s a connection though isn’t it?! 😉
Fair enough. =]
SUV and $300,000. silly
