I came across this in an update from 9Magazine. I’ve looked at it probably half a dozen times over the last couple of days trying to decide what I think of it. I have to say, after some time, it has really grown on me. There is a delicate balance between old and new, without […]
Porsche 918 – In The Wild!
More video of the Porsche 918 Spyder driving around Germany surfaced this last week. This vehicle was sporting the Martini livery. I love spy videos like these. These guys work their tails off to capture the car, then stay with it to get some meaningful video. Heck of a hookup those two test drivers have, […]
Porsche: A History of Excellence Review
When I first cracked open the package from Motorbooks containing a copy of Porsche: A History of Excellence, I knew I was going to like the book just from looking at the cover. On it was a rendering of the Porsche 918 Spyder prototype. Such a great looking drawing on the book. Crack open the […]
Porsche Museum Secrets: Parts 1 & 2
The first of these two videos surfaced earlier this week. Part 2 just came out yesterday. They highlight a number of very cool cars that are part of Porsche’s historical collection, capturing the decades of Porsche history. There are 505 cars in the collection that rotate in the Porsche museum, as well as events and […]
Porsche 911 Performance Handbook Review
After my nearly 30 year love affair with Porsche, it’s interesting to look back over the years to see resources and individuals that continue to be the authority on the brand and it’s enhancement. One of these individuals is Bruce Anderson, a legend in the world of all things Porsche. It’s no surprise that his […]
Tools Fitting To Touch A Porsche
I have to admit, I’m not much of a wrench turner. I’d love to know more about what goes on under the hood, but so far, I’m just not one of those guys. I’m learning though, and hope to change my lack of mechanical ability. Knowing that, it’s no surprise that when I cracked open […]
Porsche 918 Spyder Launch Video
The video appears to have been shot at a private launch party in New York. Many are claiming this could be the production candidate. It has more stylish mirrors, rear reflectors and the absence of front fender vents. If nothing else, this is great video to whet your appetite for Porsche’s latest supercar.
Win A Porsche Library Courtesy of Motorbooks
Motorbooks contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I wanted to run a giveaway on PorschePerfect.com for one lucky winner to walk away with an Ultimate Porsche Bookshelf, of 10 of the most popular Porsche books available. Of course I said “YES!” Here is the bounty they offered: The Complete Book of Porsche […]
RUF RGT8 & CTR3 Video
I’ve always love RUF Porsches. I think he’s one of the best Porsche tuners of all time. What’s amazing is he continues to push the envelope of his tuning in subtle, yet substantial ways, as well as some extreme examples of what can be done with Porsche parts. I still think (and dream) every once […]
