I came across a bunch of pronunciation spoof videos on Gizmodo a few days ago. Some pretty funny ones. They, of course, had to include one for Porsche. On that note, I’m always a bit amazed that people can’t seem to lock in the pronunciation of Porsche. Especially TV personalities and reporters.
My Time With No. 550-01 – A 1953 Porsche 550 Prototype
Today I finally made it down to an exhibit at the Portland Art Museum that’s been in place for several months now called Allure of the Automobile. Scheduled to be dismantled this coming Sunday, September 11th, I barely made it in time. The exhibit features 16 cars dated between 1930 and the mid 1960s. One […]
Ferry Porsche Pictured With A 356 Outlaw???!!!
Could this be the first ever 356 Outlaw, photographed well ahead of the previously thought beginnings of the Porsche Outlaw movement? Perhaps Ferry Porsche was indeed well ahead of his time. Before all manner of emails come my way correctly answering the question, you’re right, it’s impossible! For starters, the C Coupe was built 17 […]
Porsche Rennsport Reunion Teaser Video
Nothing revolutionary in this video, but I absolutely love the footage of past events, old track cars and Porsche racing icons from years past. This teaser video is for the upcoming Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV coming up in mid October. It promises to be an amazing event with a collection of cars that’ll blow away […]
Five Memorable Hollywood Outings For Porsche
Hollywood movie directors rarely need an excuse to factor a couple of eye-catching supercars into a storyline and all types of Porsches have been used in all types of film down the years. The films themselves may not always do so well at the box office, but the Porsches nevertheless stand out. Here, we look […]
GEMBELLA Goes The Racing Route
I’ve been debating for a while now about whether or not to post this, then decided today that given it’s history, GEMBALLA is too closely tied to the Porsche community to not post something. Plus these cars just looking stinkin amazing in my opinion. Announced a couple of weeks ago, it seems that one of […]
The Ultimate Catch From The Rhine River
Mels, one of our PorschePerfect.com readers, sent me a link to this video yesterday. Just absolutely crazy…and sad. Seems a 20-something buddy of the Porsche 911 Turbo owner drive the car off the dock into the water. Since we can’t see the pier, it’s tough to imagine why someone would drive onto it in the […]
Porsche 911 Speedster Upgrades Courtesy Of SpeedArt
For me, the Speedster models represent one of the most desirable variations of the 911 series. I’ve always loved these current Speedsters Porsche releases every few years. I can’t say that I can imagine improving on what Porsche has put together in the Speedster model. SpeedArt has attempted to do just that, though. They put […]
Porsche Officially Launches The New Porsche 911 (991)
This morning, Porsche released an announcement officially launching the Porsche 911 for 2012. This is the new 991 generation. Can’t believe the 911 is now 48 years old! Oh how time flies. The new 911 Carrera is completely redesigned, yet remains very much recognizable as a Porsche 911. I think I like the redesigned interior. […]
Porsche Cayenne Off Road Testing By MotoMan
This morning someone sent me a link to Blip.tv to let me know about the automotive content they have on the network. This is a short little informal video review of the Porsche Cayenne in some off road conditions. It’s a little slow, but still entertaining…and makes you want to hit some back country roads […]
