It’s always interesting (and sometimes downright scary) to see what people do with their cars to imprint their personal style and tastes on them. This is especially true of people with money, which is often where the scary part comes into play. To be honest, I’m not really sure what I think of Janis Joplin’s […]
Early Model 356 Project
James O. sent in the above picture of a project 356 car they’re working on. Here’s what he had to say: This is our current Porsche project. It is a 1953 356 with a rare sunroof and an even rarer factory bench seat. The color is an original Porsche blue and it will have a […]
A Couple More Great Shots From Deanna’s Trip
These first two are pretty cool. I love the green set against the bland freeway colors. As for the following shot, I’m all for the Lamborghini with the Italian bike strapped on, especially if it’s in matching colors, but there’s something about this that just seems wrong. Maybe that’s just hypocritical.
Modern Day Speedster
I’m not usually much for retro cars nor replicas. The classic autos that I actually like, which is few and far between unless you consider cars from the 80’s to be classics (ouch!), I pretty much only like the original versions of. Replicas feel like “what’s the point” to me. Kind of like drinking decaf […]
Tempting Porsches #15
Today’s Tempting Porsche is one that I’m sure the die hard fans will love to hate. In fact, if you’re a Porsche die hard purist, save yourself some frustration and don’t read any further. This is another one of those Porsches I’ve thought about several times since seeing it a few weeks ago at a […]
Porsche 356 Video
I don’t usually get into videos showing a car standing still. I like speed, sound, action, etc. But this one is really well shot in my opinion and the car is too amazing not to show off. This has to go on the ultimate Porsche list of all time.
The Ultimate Find: 356 Roadster
Up on eBay is a 1960 Porsche 356 Roadster that had been parked in an airplane hangar in 1985 and left there for 24 years. The owner was 63 when he parked the car. The car appears to be complete and original, although a build sheet will need to be obtained to verify that the […]
“Outlaw” Porsche 356: The Ultimate Tough Customer
I have to admit, aside from a rare few 356 Speedsters, I’m really not an “antique” car guy. I’ve looked at thousands of old cars in my life, but they never really seem to do a lot for me. Some people love the history an antique car represents and long for the good old days […]
Memory Lane: Porsche Magazine Covers #5
This is the last of the “make use of the crap you’ve dragged around with you for years” series. If you want to see the first four, you can check them out here: Memory Lane #1, Memory Lane #2, Memory Lane #3 and Memory Lane #4. My all-time favorite is still #2. This week is […]
